Whew! This year has been challenging for many reasons, but that is all the more reason to highlight the good moments. The lab has been fortunate enough to have a spate of extremely good luck recently and we figured it was time to have a little Muñoz Lab victory lap:
We are overwhelmed by the incredible achievements of our lab members and extend a well-deserved congratulations to all!
- Martha and Eric Riddell (Iowa State) received funding for their NSF proposal to study ecophysiological evolution in woodland salamanders
- Martha and Josef Uyeda (Virginia Tech) received a grant from the Templeton foundation to investigate micro- and macroevolutionary approaches in physiology
- Martha, Luke Frishkoff (UT Arlington) and Luke Mahler (U. Toronto) received an NSF grant to study niche evolution and community assembly in Caribbean anoles
- Christine Ho, an undergraduate in the lab, received the Yale College Dean's Research Fellowship to continue her research this summer
- Ed Burress and Martha had a paper accepted for publication in Systematic Biology
- Meaghan Gade will be joining the lab as a postdoctoral researcher this summer
- Nathalie Alomar received an NSF GRFP and will be joining the lab as a PhD student in the fall
- Saúl Domínguez Guerrero was awarded the Yale Endowed Postdoctoral Fellowship and will be joining the lab as a postdoctoral researcher beginning in the fall
- Henry Camarillo received the prestigious Ford Foundational Graduate Fellowship
