Dr. Brian Waldron

Brian joined the lab as a postdoctoral researcher in 2025 under the Yale Endowed Postdoctoral Fellowship. He is interested in synthesizing phylogeography with the evolution of hydrothermal physiology. Brian will be comparing physiological tolerances of mountaintop endemic woodland salamanders with their wide-ranging lowland relatives. Combined with demographic models and paleoclimate projections, his work will test how physiology can predict biogeographic responses to post-glacial climate change.
